Common Questions:
Is four-days long enough? Yes, absolutely. There are longer programs, but few that address nicotine addiction.
Why do I feel so nervous about stopping smoking. Feeling anxious about stopping is normal. Don't let that stop you. If you're reading this you've already tried to stop on your own. Give yourself this opportunity to be successful.
Do I need to be locked up? It's common to think you have to be put away to protect yourself from yourself. You can’t be locked away forever. What you need is a program that gives you the skills and coping mechanisms to stay smoke free in the real world.
Does the program use nicotine replacement products? No. Replacement therapy such as the patch is beneficial to some, however it does not address the the real problem, the addiction.
Are cell phones and laptops allowed. Yes. It is important for you to keep in contact with your family and supports.
What happens if I have trouble after the program? You will receive ongoing telephone and e-mail support from me.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.
What can I do to help? The most important thing you can bring to the program is a positive attitude that you are going to get everything the program has to offer. If you put your full effort in becoming a nonsmoker, you will be successful.
