Residential

Stop Smoking Program

David C. Jones

Author, Counselor, Consultant,

Nicotine Addiction Specialist

This is an end of the road program. I work with only a few of the most difficult cases a year.

If you have tried all other methods without success and are suffering the consequences of your smoking I will evaluate you for admission.

I work with one person only, because you will need my undivided attention.

The program begins late in the afternoon and ends before noon four days later. Admission dates are flexible. I pick you put at the Palm Beach International Airport and return you after the program.

The cost is $3200.00 and includes your room, meals, books and the program. There is a $500 deposit required.  Balance due upon arrival. I facilitate the program at the Palm Beach Ocean Hotel in Palm Beach, FL. Your room overlooks the pool and Atlantic Ocean.

I must have a least a months notice.

There's never a good time to stop smoking.   One hundred thousand people die from smoking related diseases every year. Whichever program you choose, do not put this off.

Common questions:

How many people are in a group? Our program is for the person who has tried everything else to stop smoking without success. There are no groups. Due to the seriousness of nicotine addiction a client needs our full attention. You will be the only person here.

Don't you need other people in a group for support? That's fine during the program as long as everyone gets along.  Also, after the program everyone goes their own way.  Your supports need to be developed with friends and family at home.  We help you do that.

Is four-days long enough? Yes, absolutely if you are in an in-depth program.  There are longer programs, but there aren't any better programs. We use your valuable time to treat your nicotine addiction.

Do I need to be locked up? It's a common belief that you have to be put away to protect yourself from yourself. You can’t be locked away forever. What you need is a program that gives you the skills and coping mechanisms to stay smoke free in the real world.

Can I use medications such as the patch? No. Replacement therapy such as the patch is beneficial to some, however it does not address the addiction and without treatment a smoker is subject to relapse.
